Petrolab Company, offers the largest and most complete combination of petrochemical and chemical test instrumentation and accessories in the world
The strong service oriented organization known today as Petrolab Company evolved from a solid technical and administrative support base. The origins of its automated testers often trace back to the original inventors. The Petrotest PMA-2 & PMA-4 Pensky-Martens Flash Point Testers began as manually-operated testers, designed by Mr. Pensky and Dr. Martens in Berlin, Germany in the late 1800's. Petrolab Company is actively involved with ASTM and also works with SAE, ISA, ACS, AOCS, STLE and other standards organizations and professional societies. Today, Petrolab Company proudly offers the largest and most complete combination of petrochemical and chemical test instrumentation and accessories in the world. Additionally, the diversity of the product line that Petrolab Company has assembled positions the company as a market leader in a broad spectrum of industries to include food quality and safety, flavor and fragrance development, environmental sciences, pharmaceuticals, plastics, paints and coating and widespread applications in the government and transportation sectors. Petrolab Company's continuing impressive growth is a direct result of providing excellent products at effective prices and prompt delivery in combination with targeted marketing, sales, technical support, service and localized inventory. New product development projects have also been an important part of Petrolab Company's success and market awareness. When the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency introduced the Clean Air Act, strict mandates were placed on gasoline fuel quality. Petrolab initiated the design of a new, portable tester to rapidly and precisely determine the RVP-equivalent vapor pressure of fuel samples per specifications by the U.S. EPA. The resultant design, as manufactured by Grabner Instruments, is now the U.S. EPA's referee analytical instrument for Clean Air Act enforcement. This tester is also available as an on-line vapor pressure tester for use in hazardous area locations. Petrolab Company continues to advance at the forefront of its markets. Our unique combination of an educated, competent sales force with an effective, targeted marketing program supported by professionally-staffed administrative and technical service groups and a world-class repair facility continues to fuel our success.
