PetroJack ASA is a company formed by Norwegian Berge Gerdt Larsen in 2004, the company has been listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange since February 2005. The company has 3 identical jackup rigs under construction at Jurong Shipyard Pte Ltd (JSPL), a subsidiary of SembCorp Marine Ltd, one of the major ship and rig builders in Singapore and world wide. Construction of PetroJack I has started and delivery is scheduled March 15th 2007, the next two rigs are scheduled for delivery January and June 2008. The Baker Marine Pacific Class 375 Deep Drilling Offshore Jackup Rig is a proprietary design of Baker Marine Pte Ltd. Singapore, a subsidiary of PPL Shipyard Pte Ltd, a sister yard of JSPL. The rigs are capable of operation in water depths up to 375 feet and has a rated drilling depth of 30,000 feet with accommodation for 120 men.
