Enertag S.A.S., offer pipeline tracking systems
The Enertag Project has been set up by 3 former executives of a French RFID pioneer company. Jean Yves Satre CEO, Thierry Blanche, VP Sales & Robert Charles VP Engineering. The team, from mid 2003, had identified the decisive benefits brought by the RFID technology to fit the imperative needs of the Energy Industry for protecting strategic assets in rough environments. The team then started to develop the core RFID technology to pursue such an opportunity. The company has been incorporated in March 2004. Then the first RFID system working underwater has been invented and the related patent has been registered. By the end of 2004, a first operational prototype has been developed and successfully tested, and an electronic sea chart and data base software have been completed. In the beginning of 2005, Enertag has developed a RFID system operating on buried pipes and registered a second patent. Sales channels were consolidated in Moyen-Middle-East with Gulmar and in Mexico with Enertag Mexico. First production runs of tags and transceivers have been made for first customers shipments to start by mid 2005.
