ENAP carries out exploration and production activities for crude oil and natural gas and the refining and logistics of fuels and other petroleum by products (downstream).
With a long and rich experience in this business, it also provides services related to the oil industry such as the construction and maintenance of oil infrastructure, on land and at sea; and logistics for the transportation and storage of liquid and gas fuels.
It therefore comprises a network of businesses with a presence in the Chilean and international markets, with technological support, a modern infrastructure, competitive products and customer services, at all stages of the business.
The activities of ENAP and its subsidiaries are carried out in an open economic environment where any investor can explore, exploit, refine, import and distribute hydrocarbon products and byproducts.
Its overall direction lies with a board of directors of eight members headed by the Minister of Mining who is the chairman. The vice-chairman is the executive vice-president of CORFO (a state industrial development corporation), which entity also appoints another three directors. The other three directors represent the Chilean Institute of Mining Engineers; the National Mining Association; and the Sociedad de Fomento Fabril (the Chilean manufacturers’ association).
