Queiroz Galvao, exploration and production drilling rigs and FPSO
Queiroz Galvao started its activities rendering services at onshore well drilling.
Nowadays the Company owns four onshore oilrigs, two conventional and two helicopter type, three semi-submersible oilrigs for operating on 700 meters water depth and partnership with a FPSO vessel, the first company incursion on production services.
Increasing the company’s oilrig portfolio, two new offshore oilrigs for drilling on 2.400 meters water depth will be starting operations: the first one on 2009 second half and the second one on 2010 first half. The Queiroz Galvão Oil and Gas detains, in its portfolio, fifteen assets in the exploration area and two in development and production, comprising blocks in terrestrial and offshore basins, particularly at the East Margin of the Brazilian Coast .
The exploration assets are located: five in the Camumu/Almada Basin, in the Continental Platform of the Bahia State , four in the Santos Basin , in the Continental Platform of the Santa Catarina State, one in the Reconcavo Basin , four in the Tucano Basin , and one in the Jequitinhonha Basin at the south seashore of the Bahia State . The last six ones are operated by Queiroz Galvão Oil and Gas.
The development and production assets are composed of an oil field in the Santos Basin , the Coral Field in the territorial waters of the Paraná State and a gas field in the Camamu Basin , the Manati Field located in the territorial waters of the Bahia State .
