Skarv, BP, - combined oil and gas development, with 80% of the reserves gas and the remaining 20% liquids. The resource base consists of hydrocarbons from several different reservoirs



The Skarv field development by operator BP is located PL 212, PL212B & PL262 in North Sea offshore Norway in water depths of 300 - 450m (LAT).

BP with its partners started development of the Skarv field in 1998. The recoverable reserves are estimated to Recoverable reserves (base ? Skarv only) 14,8 mmSm 3 (93 mmbbls) Oil & Condensate 39,6 bnSm 3 (1,4 Tcf) gas. Number of subsea wells are 15 - 16. The production year is 2010 forecast with a daily production estimate of 15 mmScm 3 /d. The Skarv project is based on a Drilling Templates subsea solution with Skarv FPSO topside solution. The development cost is in the order of with an estimated field life of 25 years.
