Bureau Veritas is currently recruiting an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer based in Aberdeen. The purpose of this role is to carry out specialised design verification of offshore related equipment and of general industrial equipment as required. This will include conformance of equipment under the requirements of European Directives. Responsibilities: * Work mainly unsupervised and seek guidance where necessary * Carrying out design verification of offshore related equipment and of general industrial equipment as required, documentation review, report/certificate writing, quotations, invoicing etc * Conformity assessment of equipment under the requirements of European Directives * Deliver assigned projects under the supervision of the project manager * Deliver consistent technical solutions to the client as required. * Attend client meetings as and when required * Utilise the standards, codes & regulations in order to carry out appropriate design verification activities and deliver a strong technical solution to the client * Aiding other engineers/departments with their contracts/projects * Advising the Team Leader of potential new clients * Representing Bureau Veritas on appropriate committees/work groups * Updating of your office C.V. & training and experience dossier in conjunction with the Team Leader. * Keeping a record of all training/experience within your key products or accounts * Build client relationships and seek new business * Assist Team Leader in the development of new products * Deliver some supervision of less experienced Engineers * Carry out some inspection activities as and when required
