* Provide technical resources and technical support to all phases of development projects within the GoM organization * Manage and develop the competence and capacity of own unit in cooperation with team leads * Organize and execute subsurface QA/QC activities for projects in GoM * Support the operations unit and the exploration (GEX) unit with petec resources and pro-actively work to optimize the reservoir performance and recovery * Ensure delivery of long term production forecast and KPI’s in line with GoM strategic development plans * Advise on petroleum technical and subsurface issues in project development and business development * Ensure that appropriate work plans, budgets & resource plans are in place and are followed up * Be responsible for staffing plans and do recruiting of new personnel into own unit * Be responsible for the reserves reporting process * Capture synergies between the GoM and Norway in staffing, best practice, common process, and resource utilization * Identify technology development needs in GoM subsurface activities and implement programs for development * Liaise with vendors and research institutions in technology development and R&D activities. * Ensure technical visibility of StatoilHydro GoM both externally to the Industry and within the company * Be local process owner for Petec in the GoM organization and be responsible for governing documents
