Investigate in depth all aspects that have a bearing on the design or future design of company owned vessels / marine assets Design or assist in the design of marine assets or upgrades to them Analyse operations and propose solutions, including advantages and disadvantages of proposed solutions. Perform or organise technical and cost assessment of proposeds Asset modifications, improvements and prepare requests for investment or expenditure. Organise and control the implementation of approved investment or expenditures. Organise and control the logistics associated with any asset improvements as required Ensure marine and operational teams are provided with the necessary documentation from any asset modification and they are trained in its use. Design adequate maintenance plans including proposed budgetary expenditure Assist in vessel dry dock activities as required Participate in equipment selection Advise projects & operations on selection and use of marine asset equipment within their field of competence. Advise on the level of spares required for modified vessels or marine assets. Identify and monitor asset / equipment improvements through observation of their operations
