The ROV Trainee is an introductory position within the ROV organisation. Responsible for the completion of dive and video logs. The Trainee will undertake ROV system maintenance and operation but only under Supervision. The ROV Pilot/Technician is responsible for the proper performance of all tasks they are assigned to by the ROV Supervisor during ROV operations. They therefore have a responsibility to make themselves familiar with the relevant parts of the Acergy Management system, project quality plan, with special attention to Project and Client supplied tools and work scope. Main responsibilities are: Attend base to undertake preparation or repair work on assigned ROV system prior to, and/or upon completion of, offshore operations Undertake pre and post dive checks on the ROV system. Assist during launch and recovery of the ROV. Undertake ROV operations in accordance with Operating Procedures to ensure that the work is completed safely and efficiently to both the ROV Supervisors’ and the client’s satisfaction. Ensure that the necessary paperwork is completed for the operations being undertaken as detailed in ROV Operations or Project specific procedure. Carry out maintenance on the system as directed by Sub Engineer or Supervisor.
